THE ART OF "HAUTE COUTURE"

Haute couture is a French word as "high fashion", Couture is translated from French as "dressmaking" or "sewing"and Haute is translated as "high".The making, creating and designing of high fashion clothing are constructed by hands with the used of exclusive cloth's, gems, or indigenous materials. And this might took around 100-700 hours of making. Dresser's are mostly focusing to make every details in each clothing so that the audience can get the attention or eye-catching during the fashion event. That's why some audience are mostly observed to the clothing than the appearance of the models whether they're looks are weird or not.Fashion is all about the details.  It's kinda mesmerize to look on how they make high fashion clothing. Take quick view on these video below that are actually my favorites. (video source: Chanel)

How this became called "Fashion"?
A quick history about that. In 19th century, born and raised in England around 1825, Charles Frederick Worth, the first English/French Fashion Designer in the fashion history and he is known as the Father of Haute Couture because he is the first designer who create and referred "fashion" or "Haute Couture".  He went to Paris to share and inspire designers his talent. His first artworks are made for women's clothing such as: gowns or dresses and capes. Suddenly he died in 1895.

"It's not just about the clothing, it's all about the details."
Fashion is also the philosophy of art, science, history and drama.
In art, there is details, the combination of colors and the quality texture of the clothing. Couture is not just couture. There is meaning behind it where Directors can only describe through dressmaking which it's about the history. It's not just about their brand but also the history around the world. Aside there is meaning through history, there is science which is the motion of the clothing where models can embrace it during the runway in every walk/turn. When there is motion, there is drama that the models can embrace it or give attitude from the face through what they're wearing.(source:Christian Dior)

The legendary Creative Director for 2 in a half  decades from Chanel (second Creative Director), Fendi, his own brand "Lagerfeld" and teaming up with Givenchy, Balmain, H&M and Versace. He is also one of the most iconic fashion because of his ponytail , fingerless gloves, white collar-neck, plain black suit, and his sunglasses  from indoor and outdoor. Suddenly Lagerfeld died from a shocking pancreatic cancer during he was hospitalized in Paris. The last moment he appeared was around the first week of December 2018. And he didn't make it to attend his 2 fashion show event 2019 because he was "tired". So then the whole world was announced a successor especially on the internet, Virginie Viard will serve as Chanel's new creative director. But still, the brand of the Iconic Couture "Chanel" will never die and to bring the legacy of Chanel  from Gabrielle Bonheur "Coco" Chanel and Karl Otto Lagerfeld.

Couture is also a representation of Grace and Elegance for Women's Freedom what they want to wear and to embrace themselves on who they are through clothing style.
Even though we are not in the standards of some Fashion Designers, it doesn't mean that they're only creative. We are all creative by having our own  sense of Fashion with our own aesthetics or maybe some others will influence the trends.
